EDUCATION IN NORTHEASTERN

– Helpdadaab charity together with  AWET met with education stakeholders in northeastern Kenya to discuss the need for more teachers and support.The charity highlighted the challenges faced by the refugee children and youth in accessing quality education
The stakeholders expressed their commitment to work with the charity and the government to address the gaps in teacher recruitment, training and retention
The meeting also explored the possibilities of enhancing digital learning, psychosocial support and community engagement
The two uk based charities  thanked the stakeholders for their collaboration and urged them to continue advocating for the rights and needs of the children  and refugee learners

 

HELP Dadaab

We provide relief and assistance for residents and occupants of Dadaab camp in Kenya through: Advancement of education for young people by enabling the provision of distance learning courses. Facilitating access to healthcare for young people by the funding of transport to local medical professionals and the cost of treatment. Provision of shelter for disabled people by commissioning the building of suitable shelters using local providers. All assistance given will be regardless of refugees background, race, gender or religion.
